This page explains what personal data Contemporary Art Gallery Banús collects through this website, why, and what your rights are. We collect as little as possible, and we never sell your details or pass them on for marketing.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Contemporary Art Gallery Banús, Puerto Banús, Marbella (Málaga), Spain. For any question about your data, write to contemporaryartgallerybanus@qconcept.info.
What we collect, and why
Enquiries and messages. When you write to us through the website we receive your name, your email address, your phone number if you choose to give one, and your message, together with the work you are asking about and the language of the page. We use these details only to answer you and to follow up on your enquiry. The legal basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the form, and the steps needed before a possible purchase.
Technical data and visit statistics. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and to keep the website running. We also count visits ourselves, to see how many people come to the website and which works they look at: we record the page, its language, the website you arrived from, the country reported by our hosting and whether you are on a phone or a computer. This is done without cookies, and your IP address is not stored, it is turned into a code that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you or linked across days. We use no advertising or analytics cookies and share nothing with advertising networks.
Who processes it for us
A small number of service providers process data on our behalf: Netlify (website hosting and the database where enquiries are stored), Resend (delivery of the emails produced by our forms) and a WhatsApp messaging service that alerts the gallery when a new enquiry arrives. Some of them are based outside the European Economic Area; where that is the case, the transfer is covered by the safeguards they provide, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while the conversation is active and for up to two years afterwards, unless a sale or a legal obligation requires us to keep records for longer. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Write to contemporaryartgallerybanus@qconcept.info and we will reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es).
Embedded video
Some pages show videos hosted by third parties such as YouTube, Vimeo or Instagram. A video is only loaded from that service when you press play; from that moment its own privacy policy applies.
